TALLAHASSEE, FL – The Florida Police Chiefs Association (FPCA) today expressed its strong support of Florida’s current 10-20-Life sentences with the following statements:
“The Florida Police Chiefs Association strongly opposes any reduction to mandatory minimum sentences, including Florida’s 10-20-Life legislation,” said Chief Frank Kitzerow, President of the Florida Police Chiefs Association. “These laws have been proven successful, and Florida’s historically low crime rate shows that any changes to this law would be a step backwards.”
