This course focuses specifically on preparing you for a police chiefs position, or a chief executive position in law enforcement and how best to direct your professional development to reach this leadership position. Topics will include the application process, managing generational differences, innovations and best practices, leadership perceptions, building time management skills, effective budgeting, labor laws and the CJSTC disciplinary process. Classroom lectures are complemented by practical exercises, role-playing, extensive class interaction, and panel discussions.
