TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—The Florida Police Chiefs Association offered its condolences today to the family, friends and co-workers of fallen officer Charles Kondek who was killed in the line of duty Sunday. Jupiter Police Chief Frank Kitzerow, President of FPCA, praised Officer Kondek for his selfless service to his community and called for continued support of law enforcement agencies in Florida and throughout the nation

In light of this most recent tragedy and the killing last month of Leon County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Smith and the two New York Police Department Officers Liu and Ramos who were assassinated over the weekend, Kitzerow urges Florida police officers to remain vigilant during these difficult times to ensure both their safety and that of those they protect.
