Position Overview:
As Police Chief, you will oversee the management, administration, and technical operations of the Port Richey Police Department. Reporting directly to the City Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the department’s goals, policies, and strategies to enhance public safety and build trust within our community.

Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Law Enforcement, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience: At least fifteen (15) years in law enforcement, with five (5) years in leadership roles. Executive leadership training (e.g., FBI National Academy, SMIP) is highly desirable.
• Certification: State of Florida Law Enforcement Certification.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License.
• Skills: Proven ethical leadership, a strong commitment to community engagement, and a vision for building a modern, responsive police force.
Compensation:
Salary: $83,433 to $133,492 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
