Chief of Police at Santa Fe College, Gainesville, Florida since 2011. He also serves as the College Emergency Manager and on the Behavioral Intervention Team. An adjunct instructor teaching in the Bachelors of Science Organizational Management program and to public safety recruits.
Law Enforcement History – A 36+ year Law Enforcement official retiring previously from Gainesville Police Department as District Commander and Captain. A crime prevention and crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) “practitioner” with significant additional expertise in areas of community policing, youth services and special event management.
Education – Obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences as a psychology major in 1984 and a Master’s Degree Educational Leadership through the University of Florida in 2003.
Other Organizations – Member of several Law Enforcement and community organizations. Currently a Florida Police Chiefs Association Regional Director, Campus Security Report advisory board member and Florida Design Out Association Directors Board member. Very active member of Rotary since 2009 holding many previous and current Club and District positions.
Santa Fe College Police Department – the recipient of numerous safety, campus innovation, and community policing awards and recognition from law enforcement and higher education organizations locally and internationally.
