Administrative Assistant of the Year
These awards honor administrative assistants who serve directly within the Office of the Chief of Police or a member of the command staff. Nominated by their Chief or Command Staff Officer, each recipient is recognized for exceptional dedication, professionalism, and contributions that strengthen the effectiveness and success of their agency. These individuals consistently demonstrate excellence in administrative support and play an essential role in advancing their department’s mission.
AWARD RECIPIENTS
Each year, three recipients are selected—one from each agency size category:
Small Agency: 1–30 sworn officers
Medium Agency: 31–75 sworn officers
Large Agency: more than 75 sworn officers
NOMINATION PACKAGE
The complete nomination package must be uploaded at time of submission, so please have your nomination materials available before you begin completing the form. Your nomination package should include the following and be in a Word or Adobe PDF file format:
-A memorandum or cover letter from the nominator addressed to the FPCA Executive Director Jennifer Pritt. The memorandum/cover letter must attest that the supporting documentation provided is accurate.
-A narrative (with optional supporting documentation) outlining the following criteria:
The nominee’s exemplary work;
The nominee’s dedication;
The nominee’s service to their Police Chief or Command Staff Officer; and
The nominee’s accomplishments contributing to the success of their department in an administrative capacity;
-All nominations should be combined to create one (1) single electronic document nomination package. The package must be in Word or Adobe PDF format. The total nomination package must not exceed three (3) pages. Any nomination package over three pages will not be considered. The nomination form must be completed and submitted online via the FPCA website by clicking HERE.
