Gary Goble was born in Long Branch New Jersey and moved to Clay County in 1972 where he still resides. He was appointed  the Chief of the Orange Park Police Department in 2012 and has over 33  years of law enforcement experience. The department has 26 sworn serving a community of approximately 9200 citizens.

Chief Goble holds his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice. He is also a graduate of  the FBI National Academy Session 251. He serves as an adjunct professor for St. Johns River State College.

Chief Goble is a Director of the FPCA for District #2, Past President of the Rotary Club of Orange Park Sunrise and the Vice-President of Habitat for Humanity Clay County. He also serves on multiple other boards and associations.
