Being a Police Chief is a tough job, and the first few years are critical to laying the foundation for success. Spend a week learning from law enforcement leaders about the CJSTC disciplinary process, budget, navigating critical/crisis events and leadership challenges, working with your city manager, and other leadership dynamics. This course is designed by chiefs and taught by chiefs to make sure that foundation is solid. In addition to the material brought to you inside the classroom, networking with fellow new chiefs, instructors, and other leaders from throughout Florida is built into the schedule.
