The Florida Sheriffs Association’s Cooperative Purchasing Program (CPP), in partnership with the Florida Police Chiefs Association (FPCA), delivers competitively bid, statewide contracts tailored to meet the procurement needs of local governments, municipalities, county sheriffs, police departments, public safety agencies, special districts, and universities and colleges.
Since its launch in 1993, the CPP has grown into a trusted resource for more than 340 local government agencies across Florida—helping them save time, control costs, and secure the equipment and services they need. The program offers competitive pricing on everything from pursuit and administrative vehicles to fleet and public works equipment, tires, fire-rescue vehicles, ambulances, and even electric vehicle charging stations and power solutions.
New Host Sheriff Procurement (HSP) contracts extend these benefits further, thanks to partnerships with agencies such as the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Through HSP contracts, agencies can access competitively bid solutions for specialized needs, including fleet and asset management software, vendor-managed inventory, and fuel gas services—allowing purchasers to tailor solutions while ensuring compliance and the best possible pricing.
Beyond procurement, the CPP reinvests directly into Florida communities. To date, the program has generated more than $7 million in grant funding, supporting critical public safety initiatives and equipment purchases. These contributions provide life-saving resources such as bulletproof vests and protective panels for deputies, SWAT members, correctional officers, and K-9 partners across the state.

RedSpeed is the only vendor utilizing lane-specific, high resolution (3000×5000 pixels, 30 frames per second), video cameras in combination with infra-red (IR) illuminators to maximize the number of violations successfully captured and prosecuted. RedSpeed is proud to offer LiDar speed detection and is the only vendor that integrates Flock ALPR into its system so that Flock ALPR is processing RedSpeed speed camera images.
It is important to emphasize that our lane-specific video cameras increase the number of prosecutable violations by 25%-50%. The number increases substantially on roads with heavy queuing traffic or roads used by large scale vehicles such as tractor trailers, construction vehicles, etc., which, when enforced by still image systems (used by competitors) result in lost violations due to obstructed license plate views. RedSpeed is able to do this through its feature “ViolationRewind” which uses videos to find license plates around obstructions with hundreds of High-Definition frames to choose from.
