NOMINATION CRITERA:
Nominations for this award must be made by a chief executive officer of a Florida Municipal, College/University, School Board/District, Tribal or Airport, Railroad or Port Authority law enforcement agency and be a FPCA member in good standing. The nominee must be nominated by their chief executive officer and be a full-time law enforcement command staff as determined by the chief executive officer (FPCA membership is not required).
NOMINATION PACKAGE
- The nomination form must be completed and submitted online via the FPCA website by clicking HERE.
- The complete nomination package must be uploaded at time of submission so please have your nomination package available before you begin completing the form.
- Your nomination package should include the following and be in a Word or Adobe PDF file format:
- A memorandum or cover letter from the nominator addressed to the FPCA Executive Director Jennifer Pritt. The memorandum/cover letter must attest that the supporting documentation provided is accurate.
- A narrative (with optional supporting documentation) outlining the following criteria:
- The nominee’s service to the community;
- The nominee’s accomplishments as a law enforcement administrator;
- The nominee’s proven field leadership; and
- The nominee’s successful projects.
- A memorandum or cover letter from the nominator addressed to the FPCA Executive Director Jennifer Pritt. The memorandum/cover letter must attest that the supporting documentation provided is accurate.
All nominations should be combined to create on (1) single electronic document nomination package. The package must be in a Word or Adobe PDF file format. The total nomination package must not exceed 5 pages. Any nomination packages over five (5) pages will not be considered.
DEADLINE: February 1st
All nominations must be submitted via the submission form on the FPCA website.
AWARDS PRESENTATION
The presentation of the Command Officer of the Year Award will be made during the FPCA’s Annual Conference.
