Chief Adam Geissenberger has served the citizens of Pinellas Park for 25 years, joining the department after working for the Florida Department of Corrections and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
Throughout his career, Chief Geissenberger has held various positions, including roles in patrol operations, the special investigations unit, professional standards, and the records section. He has also served in supervisory or command capacities within both the Operations and Administration bureaus of the police department. In addition to his supervisory roles, he has taken on extra responsibilities as a public information officer, high liability instructor, new supervisor training manager, and FTEP coordinator.
Chief Geissenberger holds two master’s degrees from Troy University: a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Public Administration. Chief Geissenberger graduated from the 266th Session of the FBI National Academy and was the president of the Senior Leadership Program, Class #21, at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Chief Geissenberger is also a graduate of Leadership Pinellas, class of 2021.
Chief Geissenberger is an active member of the Florida Police Chiefs Association, currently serving as the District 12 Director. He is also a member of the International Association of Police Chiefs, the FBI National Academy Associates, Police Executive Research Forum, the Tampa Bay Area Chiefs of Police Association, and the Pinellas Police Standards Council where he has served as Chairman for the past two years.
