Chief Barry Roberts was born in Central Pennsylvania and moved to Panama City, Florida when he was 7 years old. He attended Chipola Junior College and Gulf Coast State College. Chief Roberts began his law enforcement career in 1995 and joined the Springfield Police Department in 1998. Chief Roberts was appointed Police Chief in 2017.
Chief Roberts has been married to his wife Pam for over 25 years and have three children, Marcus, Barry, and Brianna. Chief Roberts also has two granddaughters who keep him busy. Chief Roberts has been a member of the FPCA since 2008 and is honored to represent District 10
