Position Summary
CLOSING DATE: August 12, 2022 The Marshal is an executive officer with management authority for the non-judicial components of the Court’s operations. The Marshal is appointed by and serves at the discretion of the judges of the Court, receiving general direction from the Chief Judge. The Marshal works closely with the Clerk of Court and Chief Judge to allocate resources in a manner that maximizes efficiency in court operations and enhances service to the public. The Marshal provides leadership, management, and supervision for the Marshal’s Office employees and oversees the day-to-day management of all administrative functions, human resources, information technology, facility, and security operations. The Marshal also serves as the Court’s public information officer and is the Court’s property and administrative records custodian. The Marshal’s Office is a state law enforcement agency, and the Marshal is the agency head.
Starting Salary: $136,192 This is a very unique law enforcement executive position, that is also the court administrator in charge of managing all non-judicial activities of the court. Applicants should have significant experience in law enforcement, budget, purchasing, human resources, information technology, facilities management and public relations. The current marshal has been in place for ten years, and is transferring to a newly created district court of appeal to help get the new court up and running.
