CITY OF HIALEAH SEEKS A CHIEF OF POLICE
A national search is underway to attract an experienced transformational
leader who has earned a reputation of being a high-integrity police executive
to lead the City of Hialeah Police Department as its Chief of Police. Hialeah
is the second largest city in Miami-Dade County and the 6th largest in the
state of Florida. A hard working, family-oriented community, Hialeah is proud
of its unique blend of cultural heritage and traditions. A wonderful place to
live, work and raise a family.
The new chief will be expected to lead by example, build and sustain
productive partnerships and prioritize public safety and quality of life for its
residents. The chief must be experienced in planning, budgeting and policy
creation and must equally possess the will and courage to make difficult
decisions that benefit the city, its residents and the department. A visionary,
experienced leader who adheres to the strictest principles of accountability
is the ideal candidate for this position.
The chief will report directly to the newly elected strong mayor, Esteban
Bovo. Mayor Bovo has announced that Public Safety is one of his top
priorities and the new chief can expect the full support of the city’s elected
body, as well as the support of a very friendly, pro law enforcement
community.
